This month marks Jodie & John’s 3rd wedding anniversary and what better way to celebrate than with a blog post of their wedding photos! Scroll down to see more wedding photography at Skitby.

Jodie & John’s Skitby wedding was SO MUCH FUN! They had a temporary tattoo table, which the guests emptied out quicker than you could say ‘a glittery unicorn tattoo, please’, a bouncy castle which the adults spent more time on than the children, and guests were given comic books as wedding favours.

They were quite lucky with the weather, although the walk from the car to the church was a bit drizzly. If like Alanis Morisette, you really don’t want rain on your wedding day, fear not! I think having some of your photos out in drizzle make for beautiful photographs, and it gives you the excuse to muck about in muddy puddles.

The reception was held at one of my favourite venues, Skitby. The thing I love most about weddings at Skitby is how unique the venue is for every couple. Jodie and John opted for banquet-style tables for their wedding, and it meant all of the guests could really socialise with each other. I love being a wedding photographer at Skitby!

I couldn’t blog about this incredible wedding without mentioning Jodie’s dress… her incredibly talented bridesmaid Bryony made it for her, wow! Only Jodie’s bridesmaids knew what her dress looked like, so seeing John’s reaction as she walked down the aisle was priceless.
