Frequently asked questions
I’ve popped below the most frequently asked questions that I get asked from my couples. If you have anything you’d like to ask that isn’t below – please do get in touch!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
I recommend booking as soon as you have a date set for your wedding, I usually I get booked up 18-24 months in advance.
HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD WE SET ASIDE FOR PORTRAITS ON THE WEDDING DAY?
Ideally, I love having half an hour in total. This can all be spread out over the course of the day, so maybe a quick 20 minutes after the ceremony, and another 20 minutes later in the evening to catch the golden light. I don’t like to take you away from your celebrations for too long, and I tend to work around whenever the light is best.
HOW DO WE GO ABOUT BOOKING YOU?
How exciting! If I’m available for your wedding day, I ask for a £500 booking retainer to secure your date. I’m flexible with payments, and I’m happy for the balance to be paid up until a week before the wedding.
WE AREN'T INTO GETTING OUR PHOTOS TAKEN, HOW CAN WE PREPARE FOR THE WEDDING?
I’d genuinely say 98% of my couples say this during our chats that we have, it’s completely natural to feel uncomfortable when you’re asked to pose and say ‘cheese!’
For the majority of your wedding, you’ll be laughing and having that much fun together you won’t even notice me snapping away. For the couples portraits, I’ll give you a few cues here and there and tweak how you’re naturally standing together and I’ll say things to make you laugh which’ll put you both at ease.
